Imperial Ant

A giant creature with a gold exoskeleton. Initially thought to be closely related to the Storm Ant, analysis of its DNA established that it was a 100% match, meaning they are the exact same species.
It is thus believed that this version manifested out of the Storm Ants' remarkable self-preservation instincts in response to being threatened by the new weapons and PA-Gear mobilized by mankind.
Their highly efficient Energy Gem metabolism allows them to move with alarming speed, and their gold coloring is a result of leftover energy being released as light with a 500-800 nanometer wavelength.

Speed aside, Imperial Ants also have an electric dynamo in their abdomen in place of where other ant-type giant creatures store acid.
This device is not an innate part of their body, so it is thought that they ingest discarded machinery scraps and natural magnetite to magnetize the dynamo, which is spun at high speeds using the power of Energy Gems to produce direct-current electricity.
This electricity is released through their fangs, the bite from which causes the PA-Gear‘s control mechanism to malfunction from electric overload. While they do not spit acid, Imperial Ants are highly dangerous in close-range combat.
